Bulldogs get fill of full-pads practices preparing for Tigers

Georgia practiced for the third straight day in full pads on Wednesday, which is unusual.

“It was just mainly to keep the right kind of tempo, the right kind of mental edge,” coach Mark Richt said. “The goal wasn’t to splatter everybody and get everybody hurt, but just keep a good frame of mind during practice.”

Asked about the risk of practicing in full pads three days in a row, Richt said: “We came through it well is I guess the best I can tell you.”

The team finished practice indoors due to some heavy rain.
