Bulldogs begin scout team work for Buffalo, Missouri

Georgia began scout team work for Buffalo on Saturday morning.

It’s the opener, but it isn’t the game that’s been the focus of offseason talk.

That would be the Week 2 game at Missouri, the debut Southeastern Conference game for the Tigers.

“We always prepare for the first two games,” Bulldogs coach Mark Richt said. “All summer long, we’re game-planning Game 1 and Game 2.”

Missouri freshman receiver Dorial Green-Beckham led Missouri’s scrimmage Thursday with six catches for 68 yards.

Georgia coaches got a look at him by viewing some of his high school video.

“We pulled some stuff up,” secondary coach Scott Lakatos said earlier this summer. “You can get all that stuff online now. Recruiting stuff is easy to get. When you’re looking at a guy that’s going to play as a true freshman, you’ve got to take a look and see what you’re going to get.”
