Arkansas softball team bests Georgia

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The No. 22 Georgia softball team lost its first Southeastern Conference game Friday, falling 5-2 to Arkansas, which won its first league game.

Geri Ann Glasco (16-2) sustained the loss, pitching six innings and giving up 10 hits and five earned runs while striking out three.

The Bulldogs (26-8, 6-1) recorded five hits against Arkansas (23-13, 1-6), with Glasco knocking in both runs with a two-run home run.

Georgia and Arkansas will close out the series today with a doubleheader. The first game is set for 2 p.m. with the final game scheduled for 4 p.m.
