Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray got a double does of honors on Monday.
He was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week and as one of 16 semifinalists for the Davey O’Brien Award for nation’s top quarterback.
The redshirt junior finally got his first SEC offensive nod Monday for his performance against Kentucky, when he completed 30 of 38 passes for a career-high 427 yards and four touchdowns in a 29-24 win. The 78.95 completion percentage is a single-game program record.
He is now tied for ninth in SEC history with 75 touchdown passes, the most in Georgia history.
